With the popularity and continuing success of their Mandalay design Burch Fabrics decided it was time to a follow up.  Utilizing the same fabric construction as Mandalay they created Opus and Melody which both merge traditional design with a modern color palette to create a contemporary statement.  Chorus is a versatile texture with intricate weave details and multi-color flair that works well with their entire catalog.  Crypton’s superior fabric and moisture barrier technology offers exceptional protection from stains, odors, moisture and mildew.

CHORUS – An intricate texture with variegated color transitions.  Chorus is available in a palette of nine with a focus on neutrals and mid tones in both warm and cool options.

MELODY – A fluid scroll pattern in a perfect scale.  The crisp definition between ground and motif allows for a clean aesthetic.  The traditional motif is counterbalanced by a palette of eight on trend colorways.

How do you add calm and serenity to your next visit to the dentist? Step one, book an appointment with Dr. Jennifer Po in Lancaster, PA where you will have the opportunity to experience custom art on the windows. Printed roller shades are not new but Henrietta Heisler of Henrietta Heisler Interiors has transformed a standard Hunter Douglas Hospitality Farm Boy Fine Arts pattern into custom art.

Ms. Heisler approaches the design of every new space with fresh eyes. The client wanted to create a welcoming, calming yet interesting atmosphere. Themes of nature and comfort were the inspiration. The tree silhouette of Hunter Douglas Hospitality’s Farm Boy Fine Art Linea pattern “fit in perfectly with the nature theme and the idea of a breeze rippling the leaves and water.” Ms. Heisler used the opportunity to incorporate the purple-hue of existing furniture into the roller shade print as a custom back ground color. Benjamin Moore 2116-40 Hazy Lilac was provided as a reference color. Burch Fabrics is extremely excited to be further expanding the Artisan Series with their next design – SHIBORI.

Shibori draws inspiration from the beloved ancient tradition of Japanese tie dying that dates back to the 8th century. The term Shibori derives from word Shibour meaning “to wring, squeeze and press.” It is a range of techniques that involve manipulating, foldng, stitching or binding cloth before dyeing in order to create distinctive geomentric and floral textures. Burch Fabrics Shibori captures the essence of the special time honored technique through the use of traditional artwork and weave effects that mimic the natural irregularity of hand dyeing.

Staying true to its roots, Shibori’s palette encompasses hues that would be achieved through the use of natural pigments; the most traditional of which being indigo. Look at other colors like Madder and Wasabi for more contrast and bold appeal.

Shibori combines statement worthy deign with exceptional performance characteristics. A superior level of cleanability is achieved with the addition of Incase giving it an astounding stain, bacteria and microbial resistance.
